Building Control Partnership - Havant Borough Council membership
Purpose
To update the Cabinet on the negotiations and the recommendation of the existing constituent Building Control Partnership authorities and Havant Borough Council regarding Havant Building Control service joining the BCP.
RECOMMENDED that the Cabinet (subject to a favourable decision by Gosport Borough Council and Fareham Borough Council)
1. Enter into an agreement with Havant Borough Council, Fareham Borough Council and Gosport Borough Council for the delivery of Building Control functions as set out in this report.
2. Deliver the Building control function to all four Councils through the Building Control Partnership; and,
3. Delegate authority to the Assistant Director for Planning and Economic Growth after consultation with the Cabinet Member for Planning Policy and City Development to enter into such agreements as necessary and on such terms as are reasonable and to take any ancillary actions as are required to give effect to this proposal.
