Senior Management Structure

The Chief Executive introduced the item and gave a verbal update on the published paper, explaining the recent drivers for the decisions made in the Senior Management Team structure; highlighting the importance of recognising the savings challenges that local authorities are required to make.
The Committee had a detailed discussion with the Chief Executive and the Assistant Director of People & Culture asking details which were answered in turn. The Chief Executive agreed to circulate to all councillors the details of the Senior Leadership Team and their new direcorates.
Following debate the Human Resources committee RESOLVED to:
NOTE the revised Senior Management structure detailed in the update from the Chief Executive so as to meet the needs of the organisation moving forward in terms of improved service delivery, delivering the headline objectives of the Corporate Strategy and Local Government Reorganisation.
